This annual tournament was renamed in honour of former Chargers player Tonesha 'Toni' Walker after her tragic passing in 2012 at the age of sixteen. Chargers coach Jenelle Gallivan describes Tonesha as "a phenomenal player and teammate. She was one of the hardest workers on and off the court and was everyone's biggest cheerleader. Her smile was contagious and lit up the halls of our school. She was on track to graduate early and was destined to do great things". Tragically, Tonesha was taken from us too soon in a random break-and-enter gone wrong.

The High Prairie School Division would like to congratulate the winning teams and give a huge shout-out to the coaches, referees, and volunteers whose contributions made this tournament such a success. We will always remember Tonesha's vibrant team spirit, athletic talent, contagious smile, and generous heart.
