New dual credit opportunity...Drone Prep! If you are interested in obtaining your basic drone operator certificate, here is your chance. Through a partnership with Lakeland College, HPSD senior high students can enroll in a new course called GIS and Remote Sensing.
Besides learning how to manipulate GIS data and various software programs, students will be prepared to write the basic drone operator certificate exam (this is a federal government online exam). Access to a drone
is helpful but not mandatory for this theoretical course. Students may follow up on this course with a drone flight workshop in their area and take the advanced operator exam for full certification.
