Recruitment for the 2023-24 MYC (Minister’s Youth Council) has officially begun.

Becoming a member of this council allows students to share their input and perspectives on a number of education topics that impact their educational experiences. Students in Alberta are eligible to apply if they are between the ages of 14 and 19 and able to commit to 3weekend meetings during the school year. Direct collaboration between students and education partners will improve decision-making and help to build a more responsible education system that reflects greater diversity and inclusiveness.

Approximately 40 junior and senior high school students will be chosen from across the province to represent diverse interests, identities, backgrounds, and perspectives.
